I visited with friends when I was very young. I was a guest of Danny and Joyce Picksley (sp). Joyce was hit by a car walking to the school and was badly injured. They lived next to the church on the south side of the road across from Brower’s. I plan to come to the celebration today to see how spot on my memories are. If I figure right it was around 1953-55, but it’s a guess. I have very fond memories of the area. My Grandpa Lee Fletcher was born on the corner of Stanton and 120th Ave. The old house stood until it became a tree farm several years ago. We also attended the Old Settler’s Picnic as long as I can remember. Also there are family of the Fletcher clan buried in the Olive Cemetery.

Thank you for coming! Like our Facebook page for future events. The Pixley and Fletcher families were early pioneers of Olive Township. Thank you for sharing the information.
