Re: Master Plan Meeting
Dear Property Owner:
The Olive Township Planning Commission has begun their work program to update the community Master Plan. The Plan will serve as a guide for the Planning Commission and Township Board as they make decisions regarding future land use and development in our community. To provide information for this planning process, a community attitude survey has been completed to gather public input regarding local issues.
Our next step includes meeting with you to discuss your commercial and/or industrial development interests and needs along the US-31 corridor or the surrounding area, depending on the location of your property. We are asking for your help because we cannot fully determine your needs without your contributions. The corridor of US-31 and the surrounding area should utilize many important planning attributes, such as access management, architecture, landscaping, public water and sewer services and site exposure, among others.
While we have an idea of what is necessary to assist you in your business endeavors and what is reasonable to the greater public interest, we ask that you provide to us a full understanding of your needs by meeting with us or writing to our office. Collectively, it may be possible to provide affordable services and shared improvements to achieve a common goal.
In an effort to obtain a greater understanding of your needs, we hope you will join us for a frank and open discussion regarding the future of your property. We will meet for approximately an hour so as not to impose on your time more than absolutely necessary. Ultimately, we are meeting to listen to your comments and concerns. The meeting will be on Tuesday, August 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Olive Township Hall.
We ask that you confirm your attendance as soon as possible by calling the Township Hall at 786-9996. Thank you in advance for your interest and assistance. We look forward to an informative and lively discussion.
On behalf of the Olive Township Planning Commission,
Gregory L. Ransford
Director of Planning & Zoning
